Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

The graduate will have basic knowledge in mathematics, natural and technical sciences as well as specialist knowledge in the field of geodesy and cartography. He will learn a foreign language at the B2 proficiency level of the Council of Europe's European Language Description System and will be able to use a specialist language in the field of geodesy and cartography. The graduate will master the knowledge of modern methods of researching and modeling the shape and physical properties of the Earth, observing their changes in time and numerical elaboration and presentation of the results of geodetic, remote sensing and photogrammetric measurements. Will acquire the ability to determine and record the state of ownership of land and acquire data for spatial information systems, land management, supplying databases and implementing basic, cadastral, economic, topographic and thematic maps as well as geodetic implementation and service of investments. Acquire the skills to use knowledge at work and everyday life, manage human teams performing commissioned tasks, set up and manage small businesses, and use the law to practice the profession and conduct business activity. The graduate will be prepared to conduct engineering activities in the field of geodesy, cartography and spatial information systems, as well as to use modern techniques of geodetic, satellite, photogrammetric and remote sensing measurements. Employers participate in shaping the concept of education through consultations in the Consultative Council at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the implementation of contemporary tasks (so-called student projects), so that the graduate's qualifications can be better adapted to the expectations of the labor market. The graduate will be prepared to undertake second-degree studies in the field of geodesy and cartography and, after completing the program differences in related fields.
