Work placement:

120 hours of work experience carried out in companies from the service industry, such as data analysis, data centre and IT companies. The work is based on collecting and analysing data, preparing reports, and improving the use of software.

Graduation requirements:

Obtaining first-level qualifications requires the achievement of the learning outcomes set out in the program and 180 ECTS points, work experience and admission to the defence of a diploma thesis after being checked in the anti-plagiarism system, obtaining a positive grade for the diploma thesis and passing the diploma exam.

Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

Graduates of first-degree studies in Business Analytics have a basic knowledge of economics and finance in the context of: business operations, business and entrepreneurship, economic development, legal and ethical standards of business and social structures and financial processes of the modern market. They have the theoretical foundations for describing economic and financial phenomena, acquiring and collecting data, and applying quantitative methods for their analysis and interpretation using IT tools.

They can in a practical way: identify and describe economic processes, obtain and collect the necessary data and on their basis, using quantitative methods, determine causal relationships, which allow specific problems to be solved. Graduates select and use the right mathematical methods and IT tools to solve specific problems. They have the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

The graduates can speak a foreign language in the fields of economics on the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The graduates with first-degree qualifications are prepared to perform basic tasks in financial institutions as well as in analytics, consulting and business enterprise sector, banks and insurance companies. Thanks to the acquired qualifications in organization of work, professional predictive analytics software, the graduates can work independently, operating their own business.

The graduates with first-degree qualifications are prepared to continue their the second-degree studies.
