Work placement:

The rules of conducting the practice comply with the Faculty Practice Regulations. They are an integral part of the curriculum and are not subject to classification.

Students conduct the practice in compliance with the schedule of the selected study course. The practice aims at practical verification of the theoretical knowledge gained during the studies or preparation for writing the diploma thesis.

Practice is organized in cooperation with external institutions/companies.

Graduation requirements:

Obtaining the learning outcomes and the required number of ECTS points specified in the education program, submitting and obtaining a positive grade for the diploma thesis and passing the diploma examination.

Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

A graduate of the Machine and Ships Construction study course has mastered knowledge in basic disciplines, allowing them to fulfil the duties of an engineer in the fields of technology associated with mechanics and shipbuilding. The study system enhances and embeds such features as creativity, need for continuous development and responsibility. A graduate is equipped with skills and knowledge on mechanics; materials strength; materials science; thermodynamics; fluid mechanics; design of machines and mechanical devices, including naval machines and devices; machine part manufacturing techniques; operation of devices, techniques, computer tools for solving design tasks and engineering calculations. Engineering knowledge obtained throughout the study course will allow the graduate to solve design/construction, manufacturing and operation problems within the scope of machine and ships construction.  Obtained bases of widely understood technical knowledge connected with economic knowledge will allow the graduate to lead the working teams and production plants. The graduate has the knowledge and skills of using computer equipment; good command of at least one foreign language allowing them to freely reach for foreign-language resources and to take up job in Poland and abroad.

The objective of the engineering study course consists in shaping a graduate ready to fulfil basic engineering tasks within the scope of machine construction and shipbuilding.

A graduate has knowledge on management, organization of work, law and economy. He is ready to work in large industrial teams and in small enterprises.
