Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

A mechanics and mechanical engineering graduate, irrespective of his/her specialization, should have mastered knowledge in the main disciplines, enabling him/her to act as a specialist in mechanics in various fields of technology. The study system develops and perpetuates in him/her such qualities as creativity, the need and ability for continuous self-education and responsibility. The graduate possesses technical knowledge focused on mechanics and mechanical engineering. The knowledge obtained at the studies will enable the graduate to solve complex constructional, technological, operational, organizational, experimental, and research tasks, use mathematical methods, simulation, planning, and mathematical elaboration of experimental results, and use specialized computer software for design or engineering and research parts of the work. The graduate demonstrates the ability to solve simple scientific problems independently. The acquired basis of broadly defined technical knowledge and economic knowledge will enable the graduate to manage teams of employees and production plants. The graduate is familiar with the use and handling of computer equipment and has a good knowledge of at least one foreign language, allowing him or her to use foreign language literature freely and also to work abroad.
