The graduate of Power Engineering programme receives a profound education in the area of design, construction and operation of devices, systems, networks and installations in the broadly understood power industry. This education provides knowledge and skills that are required for sustainable development, ecological production, transmission, and distribution of electricity. Graduate is prepared for creative work concerned with the design, commissioning, and operation of power systems, as well as energy production, conversion, transmission and distribution. He/she acquires advanced knowledge necessary to manage the production, operation and renovation of energy equipment and systems as well as the skills to conduct scientific and research works. The acquired education enables graduate to work in conventional and unconventional power engineering and in related fields. He/she can provides expert knowledge in the area of 'green' energy, in enterprises, local government units, governmental and non-governmental organizations. Graduates are also prepared to undertake third-cycle (doctoral) studies.
