Obtaining the learning outcomes and the required number of ECTS points specified in the education program, submitting and obtaining a positive grade for the diploma thesis and passing the diploma examination.

A graduate of the "Smart Renewable Energy Engineering" program at Gdańsk University of Technology possesses advanced knowledge and practical skills in modern renewable energy, with particular emphasis on wind energy engineering. They are prepared to analyze and evaluate the design and construction of both onshore and offshore renewable energy installations, as well as to manage these installations during development and operation. They are proficient in the latest digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, digital twins, and VR/AR, enabling remote interaction and problem-solving.
They understand global trends in renewable energy and are aware of the European and national challenges related to digital transformation and sustainable development. They have well-developed digital communication skills, which facilitate effective collaboration with international teams and the presentation of projects in line with global standards. Their flexibility in adapting to the rapidly changing technological and market landscape of the renewable energy sector allows them to bring innovative contributions to the industry.
A graduate of this program is well-prepared for a career in companies specializing in the design, construction, and operation of wind installations, both onshore and offshore. They may also find employment in enterprises focused on digital technologies and innovation, consulting firms, research institutions, as well as regulatory bodies and government agencies. Opportunities for professional development include pursuing Doctoral School and specializing in advanced renewable energy technologies, with a focus on wind power.
In terms of learning outcomes, the graduate has advanced theoretical knowledge of wind energy, wind power technology, and renewable energy systems. They are able to utilize digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, and make informed selections of wind turbine components. They possess analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills, along with expertise in 3D digital modeling and the ability to produce concise technical reports. The graduate can assess projects and operations in energy systems, introduce technological innovations, communicate effectively across cultures, apply principles of sustainable development, and comply with legal regulations governing wind energy.
