4 weeks, 6 p. ECTS.
Professional practice is carried out in accordance with the Faculty Regulations for Professional Practice. It is an integral part of the curriculum and is subject to credit.

 

Graduation requirements:

 

obtain the number of ECTS credits specified in the curriculum by passing the courses outlined in the study plan,
complete an engineering diploma project and receive positive assessments from both the supervisor and the reviewer,
pass the engineering diploma examination within the deadline set by the Dean.

 

Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

A graduate of engineering studies in the field of computer science has knowledge and skills in the field of mathematics, physics and general technical basics of computer science, as well as knowledge and technical skills in the field of information systems. He can analyze computer algorithms, knows the architecture of modern computers and cooperating devices, operating systems, computer networks, databases and embedded systems. He is familiar with the current technologies of creating distributed Internet applications and information security problems, has the ability to program computers with the use of various programming environments and knows the principles of software engineering to the extent that enables effective work in programming teams. He also has basic knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, computer graphics and human-computer interaction. He knows a foreign language at least at the B2 fluency level of the European System of Language Education Description of the Council of Europe and is able to use a specialized language in the field of computer science. He can use his knowledge and skills in his professional work in compliance with legal and ethical principles and with awareness of social problems of computerization. He is prepared to work in IT companies dealing with the construction, implementation or maintenance of IT and ICT tools and systems, in other companies and organizations in which such tools and systems are used, as well as in education (after completing the teaching specialization - in accordance with the standards of preparatory education for techers). The graduate is prepared to undertake master studies.
