Work placement:
- Professional internship: 80 hours, 3 ECTS, semester 6.
Internship rules in accordance with the Faculty Internship Regulations. Internships are organized by the Faculty of Architecture in cooperation with external institutions/companies.
Graduation requirements:
Obtaining a first-cycle qualification requires achieving the learning outcomes specified in the programme and the number of 210 ECTS points, completing an internship and being allowed to defend the diploma thesis after being checked in the anti-plagiarism system, obtaining a positive grade for the diploma thesis and its defence and the diploma examination.
Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:
Graduates obtaining the professional title of engineer in the field of Spatial development have knowledge in the field of urban planning and spatial planning, economics, natural and social sciences, allowing them to actively participate in subsequent stages of planning and implementation of the development processes of cities and municipalities, with particular emphasis on spatial development and location of new investments. This means that they can participate in:
- designing the spatial development of cities, municipalities and regions,
- programming the socio-economic development of cities and rural areas,
- programming and planning the development of infrastructure systems,
- real estate and land management processes,
- investment processes,
- preparation for undertaking second-cycle studies. Graduates of the course can act as representatives of both the public sector (public authorities at various levels) and the private sector (private design and investment companies).
The main goal of education is to equip graduates with knowledge enabling them to actively participate in the process of preparing various types of planning, forecasting, study and coordination documents, serving to conduct a comprehensive spatial development policy in cities and municipalities. At the same time, he will be able to serve as a mediator in social, economic and environmental conflicts arising from the active development of space. The graduate will have skills that will allow him to freely compete on the labor market in Poland and Europe, in particular through the use of modern computer techniques in monitoring, analyzing and preparing the implementation of investment projects of various nature. An important element of the graduate's skills will also be knowledge on obtaining EU funds, with particular emphasis on those intended for the development of rural areas.
