Completion of the study programme requires the achievement of the learning outcomes specified in the curriculum and the acquisition of the required number of ECTS credits, completion of the internship provided for in the programme, submission of the diploma project, and obtaining a positive result in the diploma examination.
Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:
A graduate of the Mechanical Engineering programme, regardless of the chosen specialization, possesses knowledge in the field of engineering disciplines enabling them to perform the tasks of a mechanical engineer in various areas of technology and industry. During the course of study, competencies related to creative problem-solving, professional responsibility, and the need for continuous professional development and self-education are developed.
The graduate possesses knowledge and skills in the fields of mechanics, strength of materials, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, manufacturing technologies, and the operation of technical devices. They are familiar with computer-aided techniques and tools used in design, manufacturing, and engineering analysis.
The acquired competencies enable the graduate to solve design, technological, and operational problems related to the construction and use of machines and technical devices. The graduate is prepared to work in industrial enterprises, design and technology units, as well as in teams involved in the design, manufacturing, and operation of technical systems.
The graduate also possesses knowledge in the fields of work organization, economics, and management, enabling effective functioning in a professional environment and cooperation within interdisciplinary teams. They use specialized engineering software and a foreign language at a level enabling the use of technical literature and communication in a professional environment, both domestically and internationally.
