Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:
A graduate of Mechanical Engineering, regardless of the specialization studied, should have mastered knowledge in basic disciplines that allows him to perform the function of a mechanical engineer in various fields of technics. The system of studies develops and consolidates such features as creativity, the need and the ability to constantly self-development and responsibility.
A graduate of Mechanical Engineering has knowledge and skills in the field of: mechanics and strength of materials, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, manufacturing and operation techniques, computer techniques and tools for solving design tasks and engineering calculations. The engineering knowledge obtained during the studies will enable the graduate to solve construction, production and operation problems. The obtained basics of broadly understood technical knowledge, in connection with economic knowledge, will enable the graduate to manage working teams and production plants. The graduate has knowledge of the use and handling of computer equipment and a good knowledge of at least one foreign language, allowing him freely use foreign-language literature, as well as working both in the country and abroad.
Engineering studies are designed to shape the graduate capable of performing basic engineering tasks in the field of:
- Technology of Machines and Materials,
- Thermal and Processing Technologies,
- Design and Operation of Vehicles.
The graduate has knowledge of management, work organization, law and economics. The graduate is prepared to work in large industrial teams and small enterprises.
