Students can choose one of three specializations.
The Managerial Economics specialization prepares you to look at the management of an organization from an economic perspective. The critical issue is the ability to use financial information. Other areas are the assessment of investment projects and the assessment and minimization of risk related to business activity.
The specialization in Sports Economics prepares you to look at this activity from an economic perspective. Sport is not only the result of prestigious events but also a large, diversified market, ranging from competitive sports to services such as recreation, gyms, fitness, etc. There are direct and indirect effects associated with it, such as the health of society or jobs. The assessment of this sector requires the use of quantitative methods. The specificity of financing, related to the complexity of this market, is also important.
The Sustainable Development Economics specialization focuses on the economic aspects of this concept, based on the rational management of the available resources. Analysing and evaluating this complex concept requires knowledge of the appropriate modelling methods. This issue is strongly politically and socially conditioned. It is also essential how the implementation of this concept affects the country's macroeconomic indicators.
Graduates are prepared to continue their studies in the second cycle of studies.
