Achievement of the learning outcomes and the required number of ECTS credits specified in the study programme, submission of the Master's thesis and a positive assessment in the diploma examination.

Graduate profile and further learning opportunities:

A second degree graduate is prepared to use the knowledge he or she possesses to develop and optimize biotechnological processes, design and conduct processes aimed at obtaining products with desired characteristics and assessing their quality and safety, as well as design and conduct scientific experiments and research work in the field of biotechnology. The graduate is prepared to conduct and use molecular research, especially in biotechnology applications. He has in-depth knowledge of bioinformatics and has the ability to apply it in biotechnology. He knows and understands the legal and ethical aspects of biotechnology, as well as the economic and organizational principles of biotechnology enterprises. The graduate acquires specialized skills in the implementation of the program of a specific specialization: Biotechnology of Drugs, Molecular Biotechnology and Technology, Biotechnology and Food Analysis. The graduate is prepared to work in biotechnology companies and other industries that use biotechnology techniques (fermentation, food, pharmaceutical, biomedical industries), diagnostic and accreditation laboratories, as well as scientific and research institutions. It is also prepared for study at the Doctoral School.
